Real moments. No names, no smiling-guest stock. The kind of stay we built the place for.

Eight weeks on the seventh floor.

By week three, he had stopped calling it the 'project apartment' — it was just where he lived.

The flight from Bangalore landed 40 minutes late. By the time the consultant reached Sector 67, it was past 11 pm and the building security had already noted his name. The door code was in a WhatsApp message sent three hours earlier. No front desk. No check-in theatre.

He had been placed in Gurgaon for an eight-week engagement — a restructuring project at a manufacturing conglomerate whose offices sat twelve kilometers north. His firm's travel desk had initially proposed a hotel in Cyber City. He had gently pushed back. Hotel arithmetic at ₹12,000 a night did not survive a two-month calendar.

The apartment was on the seventh floor, facing the pool terrace on one side and the GCX corridor on the other. A desk sat at the window with enough surface for a laptop and whatever he was reading. The kitchen had been stocked with the basics: coffee, milk, two varieties of tea. He had not asked for this. It was simply there.

By week three, he had stopped calling it the "project apartment" — it was just where he lived. He ran calls from the desk between 8 and 10 am, walked down to the building's ground-floor [TODO: cafe name] for lunch most days, and cooked dinner on nights when he had the energy. The housekeeping team came through between 11 am and 1 pm while he was at the office, so he never had to think about it.

The project ran to ten weeks. He messaged the team on a Friday evening — could they hold the apartment two more weeks? They confirmed by Saturday morning. His HR team received a revised GST invoice by Monday.

He did not leave a Google review immediately. He left one four months later, when a colleague mentioned she had a Gurgaon project starting in January. He sent her the WhatsApp number directly instead.

The 11-month lease she didn't sign.

The broker had called it a 'flexible option.' It required a two-month deposit and a lock-in until March.

She had been given three options by her company's relocation desk. A hotel on MG Road. A broker-sourced flat in DLF Phase 4 that was available "after some painting." And a furnished apartment in Sector 67 that could be booked directly, with GST invoice and vendor agreement, no deposit beyond one month's advance.

The broker had called his listing a "flexible option." It required a two-month deposit, an 11-month lock-in until March, and a trip to a sub-registrar's office in Gurugram to sign a leave-and-licence agreement. She was expected in her new office in nine days.

She sent a WhatsApp message to Gurgaon Luxury Stays on a Sunday afternoon. The reply came in eight minutes: dates confirmed, monthly rate quoted, vendor agreement template attached as a PDF. She forwarded it to her HR director, who cleared it by Tuesday.

Her stay was six weeks, then extended to eleven. The desk by the window became her office — 200 Mbps Jio Fiber, she confirmed to her IT team during the initial setup call, and they asked no further questions. The kitchen meant she wasn't eating hotel eggs every morning. The pool, which she used twice, meant she had somewhere to go after a long day that wasn't a bar or a room service menu.

She moved back to her home city in the last week of November. The farewell was not dramatic — a message to the team saying she'd be out by Saturday noon, could they arrange for her courier boxes to be held for 24 hours. They could.

The GST invoice came through that evening, correctly dated, correctly addressed. Her expense report cleared without a single query from finance.
